okay, so most of you probably know about my aversion to the time black hole that we call television. i am feeling a little dirty and hypocritical today because i spent about 6 hours glued to the television at a friend's house on sunday. if i had cable i would be in so much trouble because i am a vh1 and mtv junky. i could SEE my music - just like in the 80s...oh, and then they played all these lovely i love the 80s strikes back episodes and it was like being back home. all those years of learning and loving as i sat saucer-eyed in front of the tube...ah, the memories. you see, the television raised me - in the 80s. what better reunion could there be than me and my long lost mother/father, the television. fraggle rock, knight rider, remington steele, the a-team...these were more than just ways to keep me quiet and out of everyone's hair, they were my friends - my only friends most of the time. ah, the television, love it, hate it, love it......oh, and by the way, michael ian black reminds me of nathan r. so much - both in looks and dry wit...

oh my gosh - i watched i love the 80s strikes back for three hours of my life last night - i couldn't tear myself away!!! it is so cool and brought back lots of memories. by the way, there were a lot of things that i didn't remember - like snausages...but, i still call sausage snausage to this day even though i never knew why! ooh...twilight zone!!

What in the world is going on!? I can't believe that Elliott Smith is gone...How many more do we lose to suicide or drug addiction or alcohol - hell, how many more period....truly a sad day. man oh man......

i really couldn't care less about baseball if i tried, but my sincerest condolences go out to dear teddy. your cubbies weren't destined to make it this time around...sorry man - but we love you a lot!

i just have to say that mac os 9 is getting on my nerves! can't get airport to work, can't find files......i've been a pc guy for too long! special thanks to nathan for helping out this morning even though we couldn't get it figured out. it may be a while before i'm blogging in apple , but i'll get there...i just need lots of prayer (and memory)!! os x, here i come!
